Here are a some important words from one of our younger alumni, Lt. Robert A. "Bobby" Jakucs, older brother of current active Mike Jakucs! Here he comments on the qualities of Brotherhood, Tradition, and the fraternal bond within Alpha Delta Gamma.
"Brotherhood. This word has a lot of connotations and meanings to different people. When you get down to it, it is an unbreakable bond shared by a group of people. This is exactly the definition of brotherhood that I found among the men of ADG and the reason that I joined. As a freshman at Loyola I remember being bombarded and almost overwhelmed with the variety of groups, sports teams and fraternities Loyola had to offer. This definitely is a good thing. There are a lot of fine organizations, fraternities and others, that Loyola has to offer. However, what drew me to ADG was the people. People from all walks of life, backgrounds and history, yet all of them were tied to each other in a way that I had never seen before outside of my own strong (and large) Italian-American family. It was the sense of family and brotherhood that I wanted to be a part of. A group of men, united in a common purpose and bound together in an unshakable bond.

I can honestly say that the best part of my college experience was being an ADG. I have built up a wealth of stories and good times to last a lifetime. On top of that I became part of an organization of men who are some of the finest individuals and the greatest friends I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. All of them, although unique in their own ways share the common basic principle of what it means to be a brother and live out our central tenet that "a brother who is helped by a brother is like a city walled". While I was deployed overseas I was inundated with care packages, emails and prayers from my brothers back home: alumni like myself but many from actives that I had never met before as well. Every time I come home it feels more like I am going home and seeing family then just a group of friends. Watching my younger brother, Michael, become an ADG and share in the history, traditions and brotherhood of the fraternity only added to this. It is not for everyone. There are plenty of great groups on campus that you can make life long friends and good memories. However, I doubt that there is an organization that lives out what it truly means to be a brother more fully than ADG."
